GO2 for Lung Cancer events offer an opportunity to educate the public, increase awareness, engage in lung cancer advocacy, and raise much-needed funds—all the things that make a measurable difference in the lives of everyone impacted by the disease. When you participate in lung cancer events, you are helping to debunk myths, combat stigma, and advocate for policy changes that prioritize lung cancer research, early detection, health equity, and more.
Types of lung cancer events
At GO2 for Lung Cancer, there’s an event for everyone. Our monthly Lung Cancer Living Room® expert speaker series is your go-to opportunity to learn from leaders in the field. Our annual Lung Cancer Voices Summit brings the lung cancer community together for education, training, connection, and advocacy on Capitol Hill. We also feature monthly virtual networking and a wide range of fundraising events that offer the chance to connect while raising awareness and resources to confront lung cancer together.
GO2’s lung cancer fundraising events help us raise awareness and much-needed resources. We host a wide range of community events throughout the year, from local walk/runs and the GO2 Endurance Team to our signature gala in San Francisco. You can also put your personal passion to good work and create your own event. Every activity you attend is an opportunity to connect with the lung cancer community, and every dollar you raise provides vital support in our relentless quest for a cure.
You can help us confront lung cancer by participating in advocacy and awareness events. From our annual Lung Cancer Voices Summit in the spring to Shine a Light on Lung Cancer® events during Lung Cancer Awareness Month, participating in advocacy and awareness activities inspires and empowers people impacted by lung cancer to create change. Every day is an opportunity to confront lung cancer and make a difference for those at risk, diagnosed, and living with lung cancer.
We make it easy to connect. Our monthly Lung Cancer Living Room® with lung cancer experts, advocates, and others impacted by the disease. We also host a monthly virtual Gathering HOPE networking event where members of the lung cancer community can meet and lend support to each other. If you are needing more formal support, we can connect you with a virtual support group or one in your community where you can talk about your lung cancer experience, seek comfort, and gain wisdom from others impacted by the disease.
