Senior Manager, Support Programs and Implementation
I am a licensed clinical social worker and a certified oncology social worker. I have been with GO2 since 2024 and run our newest support program, Mind Over Matter, which teaches coping tools to handle the big feelings that often come up after a cancer diagnosis and treatment. In addition to answering the HelpLine, I also manage GO2’s National Lung Cancer Support Group Network. I am passionate about providing accessible emotional services to people impacted by lung cancer, especially through education and support groups. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and being active outdoors with our dog.

Maureen Rigney, LICSW
Senior Director, Support Programs and Psychosocial Care
I am a licensed clinical social worker and have been with GO2 since 2005. As senior director of support services and psychosocial care, I oversee and work within several of GO2’s support services, none more important than helping people living with or at risk for lung cancer and their loved ones through our HelpLine. I represent GO2 on a variety of advisory boards and coalitions, including the Global Lung Cancer Coalition, where I serve as treasurer. My interests include understanding and addressing lung cancer stigma and the needs of long-term survivors. When I’m not at work, you will likely find me traveling, whether to my favorite cabin in West Virginia, or to distant parts of the globe.

Associate Director, Clinical Research
Andrew Ciupek, PhD
Associate Director, Clinical Research
I am the associate director of clinical research and have been with GO2 since 2016. Before joining GO2, I spent several years in academic settings as a translational cancer lab researcher, focusing on understanding the biology behind resistance to various cancer therapies and discovering new therapeutic targets in cancer cells. I transitioned to patient advocacy to work more closely to ensure the patient’s voice and experiences are represented in clinical research. As one of the LungMATCH navigators, I’m pleased to work directly with patients, as well as their friends and family, to help them understand how current research advances can impact their cancer care and empower them to take active, informed roles in the process.

Specialist, Science and Research
I am a nurse and public health professional who has been with GO2 since 2022. As a member of the LungMATCH team, I help connect people with lung cancer treatments or trials in their area specific to their unique situation. It's a wonderful opportunity to speak with people across the country. When I'm not at work, I'm spending time with my husband and pets (2 dogs and a cat) or curled up with a good book and an espresso.

Matthew Reiss, MSE, PhD
Manager, Precision Medicine and Navigation
As the manager of precision medicine and navigation, I oversee GO2 for Lung Cancer’s LungMATCH program. I work to ensure that our caring and experienced navigators can provide the most up-to-date information about lung cancer to help deliver better outcomes for individuals. I am passionate about providing individualized support for those facing lung cancer and making sure people feel empowered throughout their treatment path. Before GO2, I worked as an academic researcher to better understand how genomic instability can lead to the emergence of cancer and studied how to use those findings to develop new treatment options. In my free time, I enjoy running, playing soccer, and spending time with my family and dog.
