You help us confront lung cancer when you volunteer to support the lung cancer community. By doing so, you can raise public awareness about the disease and its impact, support research to help find lifesaving treatments and cures, and offer comfort to people with lung cancer and their loved ones. Together, we can support the lung cancer community and our relentless quest for a cure.

How you can help
GO2 for Lung Cancer offers a variety of lung cancer volunteer opportunities so you can participate in a way that best suits your interests, skills, and time constraints. From events to advocacy, and fundraising to research, we're sure there is a role for you. Simple actions can make a huge difference for the lung cancer community.
Some simple ways to raise awareness include:
- Posting facts about lung cancer on social media
- Sending a message to policymakers
- Sharing your lung cancer story to reduce stigma and inspire others
- Attending a Shine a Light on Lung Cancer® event during November in your community
Some other volunteer opportunities include:
- Becoming a GO2 Phone Buddy to provide peer-to-peer mentoring for similarly diagnosed individuals and/or caregivers
- Starting your own fundraiser in honor of someone impacted by lung cancer
- Providing in-person support at our 5K walk/runs
- Advocating for better health policies and research funding
- Joining our Lung Cancer Registry and/or participating in research studies
